  • all tips are carefully formed and bevelled to ensure proper flow rates and ¡¥Tufftip¡¦ treated for greater resistance to chipping and breakage
  • all VOLAC graduated pipettes are produced from carefully selected and graded tubing on automated plant and are controlled for accuracy and quality at three stages of production
  • sizes 5 ml and above are constricted for cotton plugging
  • all class A pipettes are individually tested at 5 places, numbered, timed and are fully traceable
  • all VOLAC graduated pipettes satisfy both British and International Standards (BS 700 and ISO 835/1, 835/2)
  • all NC (uncertified) or WAC (certified) pipettes have a serial number and flow time marked on them

VOLAC Burettes

VOLAC burettes are manufactured in a range of sizes from 1 ml to 100 ml capacity. All VOLAC burettes now come in single packs. Four cane forms are available: Class A standard, Class B standard and Class B Schellbach, each featuring bold figures and fine graduation lines in permanent amber stain. All class A burettes made of borosilicate glass have a flange at the top for ease of filling. All VOLAC burettes are produced according to BS ISO 385: 2005.

VOLAC Class A burettes are available uncertified (suffix NC) or with a Works Certificate (suffix WAC). All VOLAC Class A burettes are individually calibrated and tested at 3 points (using registered tubing), all individually numbered and fully traceable, and all show their flow time inscribed on the instrument. Additionally works certificate burettes come with a certificate specifying accuracy at 3 points. Where glass jets are removeable they are also inscribed with the number of the instrument for traceability. (All Class A burettes are made of borosilicate glass)

VOLAC Class B burettes are available across a similar volume range to Class A. All stopcocks used for Class A are available plus a Class B straight glass key in a glass barrel.

Pasteur Pipettes

All VOLAC Glass Pasteur Pipettes are precision made from carefully selected tubing on fully automatic machines ensuring total uniformity of production. Tips and tapers are centred and can be checked by rolling the pipettes on a flat surface. Length and taper of the tips are carefully controlled. Constrictions for plugging are neatly formed at a uniform distance from the fire polished mouthpiece end. Constrictions are heat formed which avoids weaknesses or contamination of the glass found when moulding or tooling processes are used.
  • Glass Pasteur Pipettes are available in standard sizes 150 mm, 230 mm, 270 mm, 310 mm and 350 mm, plain or plugged or sterilised.
  • packing materials are carefully chosen to ensure ease of use for the technician with maximum protection from breakage during transit and minimum lint or dust contamination
  • special pasteur pipettes include 'long body¡¦ 230 mm and '50 dropper' pipettes
  • superior wall thickness as standard
  • pasteurs 150 mm and 230 mm long can be supplied with heavy wall
  • all standard pipettes can be supplied with 'sealed points' and break marks
